The Province is launching an online public survey to identify gaps in B.C.’s consumer protection laws and understand the impacts they are having on British Columbians.

The survey will focus on individual consumers buying products or services from businesses for personal, family or household use.

We are seeking input on consumer experiences with things like purchasing and contracts, including motor vehicle purchases and financing done through dealerships, and specific types of credit-related products.

The Province will work with businesses and industry groups to solicit input on potential business impacts of changes in consumer protection laws.

Our goal is to update BC’s laws to better protect consumers in a rapidly changing marketplace.
